It is the second stage of the APSC examination. However, this round has a total of six papers. Also, all papers are completely descriptive in nature and the total duration is of three hours.

The candidate must choose any two optional subjects from the list of available optional subjects.

Paper-4 (A and B)

For the 2nd paper also, the candidate must choose 2 optional subjects from the following list. The optional list is the same as the list for Prelims optional subjects along with the following literature subjects -

Modern languages and literature (Any 1 only) :

(i) Assamese, (ii) Bengali, (iii) English Literature , (iv) Hindi, (v) Bodo & Classical Languages ,(vi)Arabic ,(vii) Persian, (viii) Sanskrit.

Candidates are not allowed to choose the following combinations of subjects:
