VLSI Course – Very Large Scale Integration is a very
old technology widely used for designing components, microchips, and integrated
circuits. The process involves creating integrated circuits by combining
thousands to millions of transistors on to a single chip. As the world knows
the chip designing industry is launching a new chip in every 3 – 6 months with
new advancements. Higher the speed and cheaper the cost and better the quality
are advancements that each chip gets. The IC consists of basically 2 parts,
digital design, and physical design. The digital design includes HDLs like
Verilog, VHDL, System Verilog, etc. and the physical designs include CMOS
designs. There are quite a lot of processes involved in VLSI and you get to
learn it in details with SMEClabs.
